I'm so sorry y'all had such an all-around devastating experience during what were supposed to be some of the most joyous days of your lives as a new family. My first baby got whisked away from me like that, and even though it was over seven years ago I still have vivid memories of standing, bleeding heavily and having given birth less than two hours previous, plastered against the plate-glass window of the "transitional nursery," which was as close as anybody would let me get to the baby, and crying my eyes out. And then, no joke, a nurse came and observed that I was bleeding on the floor and that just wasn't very hygienic, and told me to go to my room! Bitch didn't even offer to bring a wheelchair or some Kleenex or anything. I'm glad you finally have Evan home with you and am anxious to know how breastfeeding is going; with my first early one it never took off and I felt like A FAILURE AS A MAMMAL. I so, so hope that at least THAT much goes right for poor E., because I get the impression it's really important to her. Give the poor girl an extra hug from me, and a fucking purple heart or something (your post about the section gave me PTSD I think, and I wasn't even THERE). Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS!Elizahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13788282464956879318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-962997019010711624.post-56487038109910986852008-05-30T01:17:00.000-07:002008-05-30T01:17:00.000-07:00I'm so glad you busted her out of there and made y...I'm so glad you busted her out of there and made your escape.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-962997019010711624.post-11374353997290665842008-05-29T20:17:00.000-07:002008-05-29T20:17:00.000-07:00Just beautiful!! I didn't get to get my hands on my baby girl for over 30hrs - it was awful and I was hysterically crying several times during that period ... SOOOO glad your beautiful baby is doing well at home!!!
